La Palma, October 21, 2025 – The third edition of ‘La Palma Blue Experience’ will feature an international lineup including Colombian singer Juanes, in his only Spanish performance, and Venezuelan artist Óscar de León. The La Palma Island Council, through the public company SODEPAL, is once again supporting a festival that aims to raise awareness about the need to protect and care for the sea, marine ecosystems, and resources of our island.
Tickets to enjoy Juanes, one of the most awarded and recognized artists in Latin music, and a living legend of salsa and son like Óscar de León on December 20th in Breña Alta, will be available from October 23rd on the festival’s official website (www.lapalmablueexperience.com).
The Colombian singer returns to the beautiful island eighteen years later and after reaping various international accolades such as 25 Latin Grammys, in addition to being named ‘Person of the Year’ by the Latin Recording Academy in 2019. The composer of hits such as ‘La Camisa Negra’ or ‘A Dios Le Pido’, arrives on the island just after releasing his recent single ‘Cuando estamos tú y yo’.
Óscar de León, also known as ‘El Sonero del Mundo’ (The World’s Sonero), will delight the audience on La Palma with his rhythm, delivering a show full of emotion, dance, and infectious energy. The singer of timeless classics like ‘Llorarás’ (You Will Cry), ‘Detalles’ (Details), and ‘Que Bueno Baila usted’ (How Well You Dance), promises an unforgettable performance on his return to the island.
While the concert by these two great artists will be the highlight of this third edition of ‘La Palma Blue Experience’, there will also be a week full of educational talks aimed at raising environmental awareness, workshops, music, humor, exhibitions, and countless activities related to the protection of the sea and oceans.
In this regard, the president of the Cabildo of La Palma, Sergio Rodríguez, has highlighted the suitability of having a festival that raises environmental awareness, in addition to emphasizing the return that these events bring to the island both economically and socially.
The president also highlighted the support of the Government of the Canary Islands through the Ministry of Tourism and Promotur; as well as the involvement of the La Palma Biosphere Reserve; key organizations for the revitalization, enhancement of our environment and economic growth with an environmental perspective.
Alexis González, director of Farra Events, highlights the importance of the consolidation of La Palma Blue Experience, emphasizing that these types of events, which feature international artists, help to draw attention from the rest of the world to the archipelago in general and the island of La Palma in particular.
For his part, the mayor of Breña Alta, Mr. Jonathan Felipe, expressed his gratitude to the Island Council of La Palma for having considered Breña Alta as the ideal place to celebrate the third edition of the Festival.
“With this event, we will culminate a Christmas season that we have put a lot of enthusiasm into, and which improves every year. It’s not just about music; it’s a revitalization strategy that benefits our social and economic fabric, while also highlighting the value of our Kilometer of Coast on our Bajamar Beach,” Jonathan Felipe pointed out.
The Councillor for Economic Development of the Island Council and CEO of SODEPAL, Miriam Perestelo, congratulated the President of the Island Council for “having taken the initiative to create this project, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of our coasts and oceans.” She noted that it is necessary to continue working to convey to all citizens the importance of our seas and the great economic and social opportunity they represent for the island of La Palma. “Music is an opportunity to spread and disseminate the message and objectives of this festival, which are none other than economic development hand in hand with environmental awareness of our oceans.”
The Director General of Coasts for the Canary Islands Government, Antonio Acosta, expressed his gratitude for the La Palma Island Council’s involvement in raising awareness about the region’s coastline, emphasizing the importance of consolidating events with a unique and social message, such as the ‘La Palma Blue Experience’. He added that “this year’s festival will feature a comprehensive social and cultural program designed to bring the challenges and opportunities facing our coasts closer to the public.”
